藍・紅花染筒描　湯上げ『紅富士二鷹三茄子』
湯上げとは山陰地方を中心に子供が生まれた時のお祝いとして贈られた、湯上がりの乳児を包む為の布です。筒描の藍染めで吉祥文様を表し、片隅を紅花で染められました。藍は虫除けの効果、紅花染は湯を浸して目を拭うと眼病予防や魔除けの効果があるとされ、子供の健やかな成長を祈る気持ちが込められていました。

この湯上げでは縁起がよいとされる、一富士二鷹三茄子の富士を紅色で赤富士にみたて、家紋の丸に違い鷹の羽を配置しました。
